Mittai

Mittai - Stills

Posters of ‘Mittai’, a film that revolves around the relationship between a girl and two boys, have evoked protest from some cultural organisations, according to its director Anbu.

“When we released a few posters of the film which showed the heroine getting married to both the heroes at a time, members of certain organisations felt offended. All that I would like to say is that Mittai is a beautiful love story,” he says.

“The posters were released on Independence Day and they had the tagline ‘Suthanthirathai Kondaduvom’ printed. Interestingly, many have praised us too for the novel initiative”, Anbu adds.

He further says: “I told those who had opposed to the idea that it was inappropriate to come to a conclusion without watching the film. I can assure that Mittai wouldn’t showcase Tamil culture in poor light”.
